Yep.  I'd re-create a few folders sometimes 3or 4 sometimes got as far as 7 or 8.  Checking each one later on transfer......so at that place would exist an empty one but it had reduced the spave left on the carte

I Had a very like outcome when trying to transfer a load of pictures to SD card after rescuing them from a failed HDD. however I tried, but I could never get anywhere near the correct file layout.

I ultimately gave up and used a USB HDD instead and the files transferred exactly as expected. I believe the issue lies in the indexing system restrictions and file path lengths associated with the SD card simply I may be wrong.

Thanks for that.  I've previously copied a portion of my music binder on to a 32gb (I filled it upwardly with favourites) No trouble at all and I've copied all of it on to ii external difficult drives - all fine.  I have ordered some other micro sd card then we'll come across

Thanks for commenting.  I've copied portions of my collection on to 64GB USB sticks before never had a problem.  Strange matter is the folders that appeared to exist empty on the SD card were never the same ones....on occasion they would transfer no problem only I'd attempt again and they would exist "empty" - only taking up infinite!
